English Premier League is back!!! Weekend games!!!
YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE 1985
The English Premier League (EPL) is back after a lengthy stoppage for WC qualifiers and the FA Cup. Here are this weekend's games and predictions. EPL prediction index at 3-9!!!
This week is filled with interesting matches, especially for the teams fighting for 4th place and Champions League qualification (Liverpool, Everton, Bolton). The most important match is the one between Liverpool and Bolton. The winner of this match will take a big step towards challenging Everton for the 4th spot. Everton, who host West Bromwich Albion, should expect a strong challenge for 4th place.
Other matches of interest include those of the relegation teams. Norwich are in big trouble after winning only one from their last 6 EPL matches. It seems that the players are convinced of their fate and are ready to go back to division one. Arsenal should compound their pains easily this weekend.
West Bromwich and Crystal Palace should give their opponents a tough challenge as they fight to stay in the EPL. Fulham and Portsmouth will fight it out for nearly assured survival in the EPL.

- Head-to-head the teams met 4 times. Juve won 3 times and the Reds once.
- AC Milan vs. Intermilan. This should be an interesting matchup between two of the fiercest rivals in all of Europe. It's also good to have both games in the same stadium.

English Premier League Games!
You Will Never Walk Alone
Today's Premiership games preview:
- Blackburn at Liverpool. 3pm ET on Fox Soccer Channel. Live.
- Met 128 times. Reds won 57, tied 37, and lost 37.
- Last game at Anfield ended with a 4-0 Reds win.
- In the league Blackburn has not beaten Liverpool at Anfield since a 1-0 win in 1993. Liverpool have a 12-game unbeaten streak against Blackburn. A win will secure the Red's 150th Premier League win.
- Morientes will be back for the Reds. Ex-Reds Friedel, Matteo, and David Thompson should feature in this game.
- My Verdict: Reds win 3-1. Yes it will be the thrid successive 3-1 result.
- Tottenham at Charlton.
- Overall, the two teams met 56 times. Spurs won 24, tied 12 and lost 20.
- At Charlton, Spurs have won 14, tied 4, and lost only 9!!!
- This season's reverse fixture witnessed a Charlton win with a score of 3-2.Charlton have not won in their last 5 matches in all competitions.
- Charlton failed to win in the Premiership this season when the opposition scores first.
- Spurs lost last two games, both away, by a score of 1-0. They have kept 11 clean sheets (3rd after Chelsea 21 and United 16).
- Spurs scored only 8 away goals this season. Only Norwich is worse with 6.

You Will Never Walk Alone
After the conclusion of today's games, Intermilan joined the last 8 in Europe's elite championship after beating Porto 3-1 (4-2 on aggregate) thanks to Adriano's hatrick (6, 63, 87). Predicition status for the Champions League is 4-4. Intermilan was correctly chosen as the winner.
Chelsea increased its lead at the top of the Premiership to 11 points after beating West Bromwich with a single goal scored by Drogba (26). Prediction status for the Premiership is 1-0. Chelsea was correctly chosen as the winner.
Check back for tomorrow's Premiership games preview and the Champions League quarter-final draw set for next Friday.

Champions League Missing Game!
You Will Never Walk Alone
Today's game will reveal the 8th and final team in the quarter-final stage of the Champions League. Inter Milan will battle it out with Porto for the last place in the final 8. If you are wondering why this game is being played now, well it is because AC Milan played United in Giuseppe Meazza Stadium when this game was supposed to be played. Planning issues exist even in Europe!!
- Inter Milan vs. Porto. 1st leg at the Estadio do Dragao ended in a 1-1 draw
- The Italian side played Portugese opposition at home, in Italy, 7 times managing 6 wins and one draw.
- Porto have won 3 and drawn 1 match in their last 4 games on Italian soil.
- The 1st leg marked the first official meeting between the two clubs in UEFA competitions.
- My Verdict: Who cares. No really 2-0 Inter Milan which will put them through to the next round. SENSI is 3-4 in Champions League predictions.

- Leverkusen had 8 shots on goal (6 wide) compared to Liverpool's 7 (3 wide).

- Ball possession was 61 % to Leverkusen and 39 % to the Reds.

Campions League for Wednesday!
You Will Never Walk Alone
Well after a captivating game at Stamford Bridge last night, it is now time to turn to today's set of games that are expected to be highly competitive and could go down to the wire. I will review some statistics for each game, and include my predictions. For those of you wondering, InterMilan vs. Porto is set for the 15th of this month.
- Quick Predictions
- Juventus 2 Real Madrid 1
- Leverkusen 2 Liverpool 2
- Monaco 3 PSV Eindhoven 1
- Arsenal 3 Bayern Munich 2
- Today's Games
- Juventus vs. Real Madrid. 1st leg at the Bernabeu ended 1-0 to Madrid.
- Head-to-head they met 11 times with Madrid winning 7 and Juventus winning 4. There has never been a draw between the two teams!
- Last win for Madrid was in the 1st leg. Last win for Juventus was in 2003 during the Champions League when they beat Madrid 3-1.
- Juventus played 17 matches against Spanish opposition at home in Turin. Juve won 10, drew 5 and lost 2. The two losses came to Deportivo La Coruna last year, and to Real Madrid in 1962!!
- Madrid played in Italy against Italian opposition 22 times!! They won five, drew four, and lost 13! However, 3 of Madrid's 5 wins came on their last 5 trips to Italy! So watch out Juve fans the train is moving!!
- First game between the two teams was in Italy in 1962 and Madrid won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Alfredo Di Stephano.
- My Verdict: 2-1 Juve which would put Madrid through to the next round on away goals! You will never walk alone Madrid! Come on lads!
- Leverkusen vs. Liverpool. 1st leg at Anfield Road ended 3-1 to the Reds!!!
- Head-to-head they met three times with Liverpool winning 2 and Leverkusen winning once. The last time (and the first time) the two sides met was in 2002 during the Champions League Quarterfinals. Liverpool won the 1st leg 1-0 (Hyypia) but did not manage to go through to the Semis after losing the 2nd leg with a score of 4-2. To all Reds fans out there, it was Lucio's goal in the 84th minute that took us out of the competition!
- Leverkusen played 5 matches against English opposition at home in Germany. Their only win at home was against Liverpool as mentioned earlier. Leverkusen also lost 2 and drew 2.
- Liverpool faced German opposition 13 times and managed only one win. However, that win is accomapnied by 10 draws and two losses. With Hyypia at the center of defence, chances for a tie are looking good.
- This game will see an attacking Leverkusen who have nothing to lose. They hope to perform well and avoid the disgrace of Bremen last night in losing 7-2. On the other hand, Liverpool are missing key players including Kewell, Pongolle, Mellor, and others. The only viable attacking option will be Baros. With 2 goals in hand, Coach Rafa is more likely to stick to a defensive scheme since the defensive line of Liverpool is the only healthy line right now. On the bright side, Jerzy and Didi are ready to play again. If the defense plays well, it is game set match. Otherwise, an upset could be in the making. GO REDS!!
- My Verdict: 2-2 which would put Liverpool through on aggregate!
- Monaco vs. PSV Eindhoven. 1st leg at Philips Stadion in Holland ended 1-0 for PSV.
- Head-to-head the teams met three times with one win for each side and one tie.
- Monaco are unbeaten at home against Dutch opposition winning twice and drawing once.
- PSV played French sides away 10 times drawing 6 and losing 4. However, PSV have not lost in their last three matches in France.
- Monaco Coach Deschamps is hoping his home record in the Champions League will not let him down. Monaco have won 9 out of their last 10 Champions League games at home. However, history shows that their chances of advancing after losing 1-0 in the 1st leg stand at 41%. Spaniard Chevanton returns for Monaco after missing two months with an injury.
- Moncaco can expect to face a tough game in midfield facing Van Bommel, Vogel, and Phillip Cocu. If the French side succeeds in forcing mistakes in midfield, they can expect to control the game. However, other Eindhoven threats include DeMarcus Beasley and the talentend 24-year-old Brazilian Robert De Pinho. Argentinian Saviola and Mohammed Kallon can wreak havoc in the Dutch defence.
- My Verdict: 3-1 Monaco which would put them through on aggregate.
- Arsenal vs. Bayern Munich. 1st leg at Olympiastadion ended with a 3-1 Munich win.
- Head-to-head the two teams met three times with Munich winning 1 and a single draw. Arsenal never beat Munich in official tournament games.
- Last time Munich won the Champions League was in 2000/2001 and the way to the final included an away and a home win over Arsenal. So could this be the key?
- Munich has not lost on English soil in 20 years. Their record away to English teams includes11 matches where they recorded 2 wins, 7 draws, and 2 losses. Their last lost came against Everton in the UEFA Cup semi-final in 1984/1985. Evertone eventually won the cup that year.
- Arsenal played 8 games against German teams at Highbury. The Gunners won 6, drew 1, and lost 1 game only.
- Arsenal have a big mountain to climb. Although 2-0 would put them through on away goals rule, it is no easy task with Kahn in goal and a defence that includes Sagnol, Lucio, and Lizarazu. Bergkamp will return for the Gunners. On the other hand, Edu is expected to miss the game.
- For Munich, Makaay will be out which is a big loss to them. However, Ballack's form provides optimism to Munich fans everywhere. Another optimistic fact? Munich have not lost any of their last 21 Champions League games by more than 2 goals. Yet, 2-0 will put Arsenal through.
- This game revolves around Henry. If he shows up to play, this will be an entertaining game. Otherwise, we can flip the channel to Monaco's game, like Barca fans did after going down 3 at Chelsea!!! No pun intended!
- My verdict: 3-2 Gunners which would put Munich through on aggregate.

Champions League Update!!!
Don't hate the player hate the game
- Scores for today's games.
- Chelsea 4 Barca 2. As predicted, Chelsea go through 5-4 on aggregate.
- AC Milan 1 United 0. As predicted, Milan go through 2-0 on aggregate.
- Lyon 7 Bremen 2. As NOT predicted, Lyon go through 10-2 on aggregate.
- Chelsea vs. Barca game
- Referee Collina nearly tipped the balance of the game by awarding an unrightful penalty for Barca when Chelsea were up 3-0. Ronaldinho barley put it in with Cech diving the right way.
- Joe Cole is clearly the man-of-the-match. He was not expected to start and instead turned up to play hard. He managed an assist, two shots on target, and a shot that hit the post. Definetly played well.
- Ronaldinho obviously played a part in Barca's defeat by keeping the ball too long. He failed to create any chances for his strike partner Samuel Eto'o.
- Miscellaneous stats:
- Shots on target CHE 9 BARCA 8
- Shots wide CHE 3 BARCA 6
- Corners CHE 3 BARCA 7

Champions League Is BACK!!!
العقل السليم في الجسم السليم
Well gentlemen, it's time for the Champions League again. Here are my predictions and some interesting facts.
- Quick Predictions
- AC Milan 3 Man. Utd. 0
- Chelsea 1 Barcelona 0
- Lyon 0 Werder Bremen 3 (Bremen PK)
- For some interesting facts read on. If you are a disgruntled fan, sorry but LIFE IS TOUGH and POOL ARE 3-1 UP!!!
- Today's games
- AC Milan vs. Manchester United. 1st leg at Old Trafford ended 1-0 to Milan.
- Man. Utd. are heading right out of the champions league at the round of 16. Being a Liverpool fan, I feel sorry for them. This is their last lifeline.
- Head-to-head the two teams played 5 times with Milan winning three and United 2 matches.
- Last win for United over Milan was on 15-05-1969 with a score of 1-0 scored by Bobby Charlton in the 2nd leg of the European Cup (Champions League now). United were eliminated 2-1 on aggregate.
- Biggest score was Milan 4 United 0. I am enjoying this. It was on 14-05-1958. Biggest win for United? Only 2-1 in 1958 too.
- Milan played nine matches at home against Enlish opposition. They won five and drew four.
- United's ten trips to Italy yielded only two wins and a draw.
- My Verdict: 3-1 Milan.
- Chelsea vs. Barcelona. 1st leg at the Nou Camp ended with a Barca victory 2-1.
- Well the 1st leg was hotly contested. Chelsea players are seeing red especially as Ronaldinhio predicted that all four English clubs will exit the Champions League at this stage! Drogba's sending-off was not well-taken either. This match will be a classic. Chelsea's defensive record at home is immaculate allowing only three goals in 13 league matches at home, and 9 overall, thanks in large part to GK Peter Cech.
- Head-to-head the two teams played 6 times with Barca winning four and Chelsea two.
- Last win for Chelsea over Barca was on 05-04-2000 with a score of 3-1. This win was not enough for Chelsea to go through to the semi-finals of the Champions League after Barca dominated the 2nd leg to win 5-1.
- Biggest score was Barca 5 Chelsea 0. It was on 25-05-1966 during the Fairs Cup. Biggest win for Chelsea? Only 3-1 mentioned earlier.
- Chelsea played Spanish teams 5 times at home, winning three times and drawing twice. Barca played 18 matches in England, with 4 wins, six draws and 8 losses. That will be 9 losses after tonight!
- My Verdict: 1-0 Chelsea.
- Lyon vs. Werder Bremen. 1st leg at Weserstadion ended with a 3-0 Lyon victory.
- Why do you even care about this match? Ok since we only have three matches today then we have to talk about this one too. Wiltord plays with Lyon!!
- Head-to-head the two teams played 3 times with Lyon winning 2 and Bremen one.
- Last win for Bremen over Lyon was on 07-12-1999 with a score of 4-0 during the UEFA Cup. This win was enough for Bremen to go through to the 4th round stage of the UEFA Cup after losing to Lyon in the 1st leg with a score of 3-0!! Match-fixing anyone? Hmmmm.
- My Verdict: 3-0 Bremen!!! YES BREMEN!!! Let Wiltord do you good!!
Some Arabic Media News!!!ٍ

Some English Media News!!
القلب واللسان اطيب شئ في الانسان ان طابا واخبث شئ فيه ان خبثا
- Pro-Syria demonstrators gather in Lebanon
- First against Syria and now for Syria. Why are Syrian troops there in the first place? I think over the years people forgot the reasons!!
- Italy Foreign Minister Disputes U.S. Claim
- This refers to the Italian hostage's shooting by the American military in Iraq. Conspiracy theories are flying around. The abducted journalist claims her captors had warned her to be "on-guard" from the Americans. However, this seems to be a sad incident of misunderstanding. Nothing more, and nothing less.
- South Africa renames capital Tshwane
- Pretoria will, from now on, refer to the city center only. It is meant to be a symbolic break with apartheid. Now that is very necessary!
- Travolta: I'll tell Diana secrets
- John Travolta has promised to do so, including talkinging about things "never discussed" before during his brief relationship with Princess Di. However, the catch is that you have to buy his autobiagraphy that is coming out soon. What a better way to sell some books!!
- U.S. Jewry´s Attachment to Israel on a Decline
- Surveys over the past couple of years show that the attachment of some American Jews to Israel had declined.
- 500,000 pro-Syrian protestors attend Beirut show of force
- How many attended the anti-Syrian protests? high estimate at 60 thousand. Did the people speak? Or is democracy applied "only as needed?"
- Emirates steps up services to Kuwait
- Starting April 1st, 2005, Emirates airlines will operate 16 flights weekly between Dubai and Kuwait instead of the usual 11. Finally people might stop hearing "no reservations!!!"
- Thuraya opens in Kuwait
- Thuraya will offer its satellite telecommunication services in Kuwait after appointing National Satellite Telecommunications Services as its local service provider. Finally we get satellite phone!!!
