Champions League Quarter-Final Draw!!!
You Will Never Walk Alone
UEFA announced a few hours ago the results of the draw for the quarter-final stage of the Champions League. The results were as following:
- Liverpool vs. Juventus. First two balls drawn. This game comes 20 years after the Heysel stadium disaster which caused the death of 39 supporters, most of them Italian.
- Head-to-head the teams met 4 times. Juve won 3 times and the Reds once.
- AC Milan vs. Intermilan. This should be an interesting matchup between two of the fiercest rivals in all of Europe. It's also good to have both games in the same stadium.
- Head-to-head the two teams met 34 times with AC winning 12, 14 draws, and 8 wins for Inter. They met in European competitions twice, with both games ending in draws.
- Lyon vs. PSV. This is the first meeting between the two clubs ever.
- Chlsea vs. Bayern Munich. This is also the first meeting between the two clubs ever. Should be interesting.
- Winner of Liverpool Juve plays winner of Chelsea Munich game.
- First leg to be played on the 5th & 6th of April, with the return legs played on the 12th and 13th of the same month.
- ESPN2 North America is televising a live quarter-final match on the 5th. It could be Liverpool match or Lyon. 2.45 pm ET.
- ESPN2 North America is also televising a live quarter-final match on the 12th of April. This could be the Chelsea or the AC Milan game. 2.45 pm ET.
